According to TFL.org, a fanlisting is "a web clique that lists fans of a particular subject. Unlike most web cliques, a person does not need a web site in order to join. Fans from around the world submit their information to their approved fanlisting and they are then listed to show their love for the subject."

This particular fanlisting is for Greek mythology. I've loved the Greek myths since I was a child. They're fascinating and exciting, full of tragedy and love and adventure. The world in Greek myths is full of Medusas, nymphs, sphinxes, cyclopses, and other exotic creatures. It's populated full of heroes and heroines, from the tragic Herakles (Hercules) to the valiant Perseus to the strong-willed Odysseus to the independent Atalanta. The gods and goddesses are charismatic and intriguing- in one moment benign, powerful, and wise, in another merciless, petty, and cruel. And the myths themselves are wonderful, ranging from epic in scope like The Iliad or The Odyssey, to love stories or tragedies, to explanations for real-life phenomenon in the world, to just really good stories. There's just so much to be found in Greek mythology, and even if one isn't taken with the myths and characters, one can at the very least appreciate its lasting influences on Western culture, as seen in art, literature, and the sciences, to name a few.
